With the minor baseball evaluations around the corner, we would like to share what to expect from the process for the 2025 season.
Please ensure your athlete comes to each session prepared with the following:
- Indoor runners or rubber cleats
- Baseball pants or sweatpants
- Baseball glove, bat and helmet (if possible)
Each session will focus on baseball-specific skills to help evaluators determine where each athlete will best be suited to play with peers of the same skill level this season. Skill sessions will include drills involving hitting, throwing, and fielding, and evaluators will be using these sessions to assign a rating between 1-10 in relation to each skill. Evaluators will include volunteers with baseball knowledge and previous MMB coaches, ensuring that coaches who are also parents are not evaluating an age group involving their own child. Evaluators and the MMB Executive team will not be sharing ratings or rankings of any individual player, so please respect the work that goes into keeping this process fair and unbiased. Please prepare your athlete for this process and be a good example for them regardless of the team they are placed on.
Evaluation results will be used to create teams that are as even as possible.
EXCEPTION: Tiering will take place at 13U and 15U HARDBALL levels - top evaluated players will be placed on the Tier 1 team with remaining players forming Tier 2 teams.
Should you be unable to attend a session, please let MMB know in advance and provide your reason(s).

Once teams are formed and coaches are identified, MMB will post rosters on our website the week of April 14th. Coaches will then be reaching out via email with more information.
